This section will consist predominantly of stuff like current affairs, ranging from politics and history, to culture and society. We aim to discuss things that we feel are underrepresented, or to provide our own twist on the ‘mainstream’ topics. We will analyse from our youthful point of view and about why it matters to young people and students, whilst debunking myths and highlighting failures to consider history.

Humankind will cover issues affecting our generation, ranging from mental health related problems to general disillusion and student life. As part of this, we aim to have an anonymous monologue-type feature, where people who are not necessarily contributors can write about some of these issues. We had thought of a focus on mental health in particular for these monologues, to allow people to open up about the problems they have experienced, to allow readers with similar issues to relate, and to promote a better understanding.
